RECENT NATIONAL EVENTS ON ORGANIC AGRICULTURE IN NIGERIA
A New Start for NORSØK
A central player in research in organic agriculture in Norway was for several years Norwegian Center for Ecological Agriculture (NORSØK), located in Tingvoll on a research farm with organic dairy cow management. Between 2006 and 2015, NORSØK’s research activities were conducted within Bioforsk, the Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research. Since January 2015, NORSØK has again become a separate institute, with a slightly revised name: Norwegian Center of Organic Agriculture. 13 dedicated employees work to increase the volume of Norwegian organic production and consumption by research and knowledge development and dissemination. One of them is the ISOFAR vice president, Dr. Anne-Kristin Løes.
